Hey guys, it's been a while (May 5th, holy crap), but I'm back with some info from last month! A bit late, I know, but I almost completely stopped playing Pokemon, but am back again! Mainly, I just want to share the INCREDIBLE artwork on theses cards. Seriously, you HAVE to take a look at these. So far, there haven't been any really extraordinary, but I can see some being played a little. Here are the pics!
Picture
Just LOOK at this card. Reshiram looks like it seriously wants to murder something! The attacks themselves aren't completely extraordinary (the first does 50, 50% chance of 80 instead), while the second attack does 150 damage with 50 damage to itself on a tails. I could see this attack being used, bu 50 damage could be disastrous on an EX considering the 2-prize giveaway. However, this card does have an astonishing HP, weighing in with a whopping 180HP!
Picture
Reshiram's Lightning-Type counterpart, Zekrom, comes in with an equal 180HP and similar attacks.Shining Claw (the first attack) is exactly the same, with a Lightning energy instead of a Fire energy, and Strong Bolt (the second one) does 150 damage at the cost of discarding 2 energy (DCE, anyone). I could see this card get played some, with a DCE burning engine.
Picture
Shaymin EX comes in with its sky mode intact, ready to whup some serious behind! Its first attack, Synthesis, really is only good on the first or second turn. It lets you search your deck for a grass energy and attach it to a Pokemon (just like Tangela CoL). The second attack, Revenge Burst, is built for lat-game. It starts off at a mere 30 damage, doing 30 more damage for each prize card your Opponent has taken. This can do up to 150 damage, so protect this card as it may come in handy when you're losing. I don't think you could build an entire deck with this as the cornerstone, but I could see it being played in Grass or Revenge decks.
Picture
Despite its epic artwork, this card isn't as good as the other EX's. It has an incredible 170HP, but the attacks are too slow and weak to win anything. The first attack does 30 damage and lets you switch this card out with a Benched Pokemon, which isn't worth the cost. The second attack, Dual Splash, has a good effect but it is too expensive. It lets you do 50 damage to 2 of your Opponent's Pokemon, but it costs [W][W][C].
Picture
Also weak in comparison to the other EXs (but still slightly superior in comparison to its counterpart), Groudon EX DOES have an astounding 180HP.   Its first attack does 20 damage for [F][C], and 10 to all of your Opponent's bench. The second attack, Giant Claw, costs [F][F][C] and does 80 damage, plus 40 more damage if The Defending Pokemon has 2 or more damage counters on it (2HKO for any Pokemon). All in all, it can be used, but it is very slow.
Picture
This card has one of my favorite artwork out of the EXs, it looks like Regigigas is about to crush Earth or something. Anyway, I'm not going to discuss the first attack (I'm exhausted and it's terrible anyway), but the second attack is worth noting. For [C][C][C][C] (or 2 DCEs). It does a measly 50 damage, but 10 more for each damage counter on Regigigas. It does up to 220 damage, but Regigigas EX shouldn't be your active Pokemon if it has 170 damage (it is an EX, after all), but it can still do massive damage.
Picture
Kyurem EX has awesome artwork, but it's probably the worst of the EXs. It has 180HP like the rest, but the attacks are its downfall. For [W][C][C] it does 60 damage plus a special energy discard (meh... could be used sometimes, I guess), and the second attack does 120 damage, but you can't use it during your next turn. All in all, this card is pretty much binder candy.
Picture
I've saved everyone's favorite for last, it's Mewtwo! Its first attack does 20 damage attached to both player's active Pokemon, which could add up (but beware if your Opponent runs a deck that doesn't need much energy). The second attack does 120 damage for [P][P][C], at the cost of a single discard (which can be regained easily). However, There are easier atacks to use out there.
Whew! I finally finished (I think it took about 20 minutes to make this). Until next time, deuces!
